Job Summary

The HR Business Partner leads and manages critical HR functions for our clients and provides strategic guidance and support across the employee lifecycle.  This role manages employee relations, onboarding/offboarding processes, FMLA administration, and performance management for our clients. The HRBP also oversees the creation and facilitation of employee and manager training programs, developing strategic plans for performance reviews, and partners with various 3rd party platforms. The HR Business Partner also serves as the client-facing project manager, overseeing project work completed by HR Generalists and Data Services, reviewing open cases, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relations

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, seeking feedback to confirm satisfaction with services and delivering support that aligns with each client’s scope of work.

Client Communication

Maintain routine weekly or biweekly contact with clients, business owners, leaders, and key stakeholders for ongoing HR consulting and guidance.

Client Retention

Proactively seek new initiatives and projects that optimize client HR functions while identifying opportunities to extend client agreements and strengthen relationships that support ongoing work and business referrals.

Employee Relations

Act as the main point of contact for employee relations issues, resolving conflicts and promoting a positive workplace culture.

Employee Onboarding/Offboarding

Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding new employees to overseeing offboarding processes.

FMLA Administration

Administer FMLA and other leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Employee & Manager Training

Facilitate the creation and delivery of training programs for employees and managers, focusing on skills development, leadership, and compliance.

Performance Review Strategy

Lead the discovery and planning phases for performance review processes, ensuring they align with business objectives and employee development goals.

Strategic Partnerships & Planning

Collaborate to drive strategic HR initiatives related to organizational structure, compensation, recognition, and employee engagement.

Client-Facing Project Management

Serve as the project manager for client-facing HR initiatives, ensuring the successful completion of projects managed by HR Generalists and Data Services. Review open cases in Service Cloud and provide guidance to ensure timely resolution and client satisfaction.

Benefits & Compliance Oversight

Oversee the administration of benefits programs and ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies and labor laws.

Data Review & Analysis

Regularly audit and review HR data to ensure accuracy and compliance, and make recommendations for improvements where needed.

Internal Support

Perform other related HR responsibilities as needed that support the goals of the organization and the client support team.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    5-7 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and project management.
  • Strong experience in employee onboarding, offboarding, and FMLA administration.
  • Experience with HR platforms such as Lattice, Salary.com, Nectar, and Service Cloud.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and lead projects effectively.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on employee development and business alignment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to move between office spaces and meeting areas

Work Environment

  • Standard office environment with regular interaction with employees and across the organization
  • Occasional travel to other locations for meetings or events depending on business needs
